Overview
InterMountain Ag is a family owned and operated business based in Dorris, California. InterMountain Ag provides custom farming and consulting, seed supply, and is a certified Reinke dealership. InterMountain Ag is experienced with a variety of traditional and innovative farming techniques that have proven successful within Siskiyou County. Since 1997, InterMountain Ag has been providing seed, both conventional and organic to farmers throughout Northern California and Southern Oregon. Since becoming a Reinke dealer in 2013, pivot design, sales, and services have been added. InterMountain Ag was developed around the idea that there are farming methods, techniques, and tools that can improve farming and farmers’ livelihood and when those concepts are shared, farming communities thrive.
Owners
After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, studying Animal Science, John worked as a part owner for a ranch in Scott Valley followed by seven years as a farm and ranch manager in Butte Valley. John and his wife Lori started InterMountain Seed, a seed supply and small custom farming operation, in 1997. John’s vision for his business was driven by a desire to provide stability for his family. John and Lori take pride in their community and are eager to share their 30 years of experience with those in their outlying community. John and Lori are firm believers that there are techniques and products that are intended to improve and bring success to their farming community. InterMountain Seed was renamed InterMountain Ag in 2013 in an effort to capture these techniques and products, including Reinke irrigation products.
